all things unimportant

Tinkle & I went shopping Saturday. We indulged in our favorite hang out for lunch...Panera Bread. The Mediterranean Veggie...it's a happy food.

Speaking of food, my kids had corn, cornbread, mac 'n cheese, and grapes for dinner. No meat...I forgot to thaw it out.  Carb overload, I know. But they were happy. Minus Tinkle with the cornbread.

I checked the mail every day in anticipation of "Wait No More". I was ELATED when it came in 'cause Focus On The Family sent it to me for free to write a review on my blog. I love books. I love free. And I love the honesty of this book from a family who adopted 4 children through the foster care system. Though we're only fostering at the moment, it's amazing some of the similarities we've already seen in our journey.

Last night, Tinkle came into our room in the very wee hours of the night. She had a nightmare.

About a gorilla.

The elbow in my back may or may not have been an added benefit to her arrival.

Then, Winkle woke up and wanted "mama".

I have to laugh at the irony of the night of 2 parents who used to be dead set against children in bed.

Oh, the irony.

Then, they woke for good around 4:30. That's a.m.

And my other 2?

Before 6.

Which may or may not be why this post is entirely random and going nowhere.

The meat's thawing. I'm thinking of balancing things out by just serving meat tonight.

I'm thinking about attempting my first black Friday shopping trip. Not an all nighter. What about you? Will you be black Friday shopping? Any tips?

Oh, the picture? It's old. But, it says a lot about how I'm feeling today.
